03/31/05 - CWW Anouncement through CARES DXBM
This statement appeared to all CARES users as a DXBM on 3/21/05:
The CARES Worker Web will begin rolling out during the spring of 2005. Pilots started in February. CWW is the first of many projects related to converting CARES to a Web based user interface. The first project that is going live this spring focuses on those workers/users who actively UPDATE client records and/or performs data collection activities for applicants - most of the current Client Registration and Application Entry functions. Users who do not use these functions on a regular basis (a.k.a query only users) will be rolled out gradually beginning late in CY 2005. During the implementation, the CARES mainframe screens - like the ones you are currently logging on to - will continue to operate as usual until ALL CARES users have been moved to the CWW. If you would like more information on the CWW, Click on the URL below, or COPY AND PASTE the following URL into your Web Browser and click "GO". NOTE: If you have not already done so, you will have to register to use this site. Web pages may vary slightly from these examples: http://caresfeedback.wisconsin.gov/home/

02/09/2005 - CWW-1 Kickoff Events Announced
CWW-1 Kickoff Events will be held on March 23 in Madison and April 5 in Wausau. IM and W-2 agencies will be allowed to send up to 3 individuals to one of these events. The intended audience is the CARES Coordinator, an agency person with training responsibilities, and an agency staff member who is responsible for managing the cases that transfer into the agency. Registration information will be made available in the near future for these events.

01/06/2005 - Pilot 1 Counties Finalized
In January, 2005, Sauk and Jefferson counties agreed to be the first pilots of the CARES Worker Web - Project 1 (CWW-1). They will be trained in late February and "Go-Live" in late February/early March. DHFS, DWD, and Deloitte staff will work closely with these counties to train staff, receive their feedback, and make changes to the system. The second pilot agencies will begin in March.

09/13/2004 - Removed Feedback Pages
The feedback portion of this website has been removed. In June of 2004, we introduced this site and asked for feedback from CARES users. That feedback has been incorporated into the design of the CARES Worker Web (CWW) where possible. The design phase of the CWW is now completed so we will not be taking any more feedback. Thanks to all of you who contributed your opinions.

08/06/2004 - CWW Training
CARES Worker Web training is currently under development by DWD/DHFS Partner Training Services. The proposed model is a blend of various distance methodologies and facilitated learning experiences for local agency and tribal staff, primarily everyday CWW users - Client Registration, Income Maintenance, and W-2 staff. Since the move from the Mainframe to CWW does not involve policy change, the training will focus on how to use this new tool, with assessments for the worker to check his or her comprehension and skill. In coming months, check this site and the PTS Learning Center for more information on this essential training opportunity.

06/07/2004 - New Informational Website
The CARES Worker Web Information web site is only intended for use by Income Maintenance (IM) and Workforce Development (WD) workers who use CARES to administer Wisconsin's IM and WD programs. It contains an overview of the new CARES Worker Web (CWW) application, including introductory information, examples of the actual web pages, forms for providing feedback and news. If you are an IM and/or WD worker, please take the time to learn more about and offer feedback on CWW scheduled to begin pilot implementation in February of 2005. Your feedback is important to the success of this project! Your suggestions will be considered as we continue to develop CWW. This web site will remain available through approximately June 2005. More extensive training will be offered to you as CWW is rolled out.
