CWW Diagnostic Test Page
This page is meant to help you diagnose how your staffs' computers and agency's networks will perform with CWW-like pages and functionality.
Two tests that will help you identify possible IT issues with your agencies' use of CWW are detailed below.

Test #1 - Page Loading
The purpose of this test is to determine how long an average CWW-like page will take to load on your agency's computers. You should conduct this test from a computer(s) that is representative (i.e., in RAM, CPU type/speed, etc.) of those used by your agency's staff. You should also conduct this test during peak business hours when your network is highly utilized.

The launch button below will allow you to cycle through 20 CWW-like pages. You will see the same page twice in a couple of instances so we can determine the impact of browser caching on page load times. The pages themselves will record the load time. The overall results along with instructions will be available at the end of the page cycle.

Note: Pages in the cycle will not automatically advance after your click the launch button below. On each subsequent page, click on the blue, "next" button in the yellow box to advance to the next page in the cycle. Please do not click on other links or icons on the pages while conducting the test.

Click the Launch button above to begin the Page Load Diagnostic Test

Test #2 - Internet Explorer / Acrobat Preferences
CWW utilizes Adobe Acrobat to display PDF versions of documents, such as a client's Application Registration Form (CAF form). The launch button below will test whether the computer you are using has Adobe Acrobat set as its default PDF display software.

Clicking the link below will open one new browser window with a sample PDF document opened with Adobe Acrobat within it. Note: The first time accessing the link may take from 5 to 50 seconds depending on the speed of your computer. Subsequent tests will be much faster.

In the event the PDF document does not display in the new window, there a couple of options that may rectify the situation.

Remediation Options

Option 1 - Close all your browser windows and open up your version of Acrobat Reader.
  1. In Acrobat 6.X, select the "Preferences" option of the "Edit" pull-down menu (Edit -> Preferences). On the Preferences dialog box, select the "Internet" option from the left side menu. Uncheck and recheck the "Display PDF in Browser" check box.
  2. In Adobe/Acrobat 5.X, select the "Preferences" option of the "Edit" pull-down menu (Edit -> Preferences). On the Preferences dialog box, select the "Options" option from the left side menu. Uncheck and recheck the "Display PDF in Browser" check box.

Try Test 2 again.

Option 2 - Remove and reinstall Acrobat on the PC that is having an issue. Try Test 2 again.

Option 3 - Upgrade to a newer version of Acrobat Reader (6.0X). Try Test 2 again.
